My thoughts, prayers and condolences go out to Kristy and family on the loss of Ernie. About 30 years ago, Ernie was one of the driving forces that brought the USA Officials Association into existence. This association provides officials for all interscholastic athletics in the greater Muskegon area. He was a great official, a mentor, an instructor and a friend. Ernie and Ron Hansen's influence on me is the main reason that I have officiated baseball for over 40 years. I will miss him greatly...
