MOUNT VERNON, Ind. — Ernest W. "Sonny" Bishop, age 84, passed away Friday, January 8, 2010, at his home in Mount Vernon. He was born December 31, 1925, in Evansville, Ind., the son of Ernest W. Sr. and Mary O. (Wilson) Bishop.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Sonny's family. He was a good man who touched many people's lives. I especially remember the fun Sonny & Dot had with my grandparents, Robert and Selma (Sam) Frailey. Sonny will be truly missed!!

Sorry to hear of your loss. My Dad was certainly saddened to hear of Bishop's passing. They spent many hours & good times together downtown Mt. Vernon in the 80's-90's
