As a real estate broker, I took the majority of my title business to Land Title. The entire staff was like a large family and delivered professional service in a friendly environment. If there were any tough questions, Ernie's office door was always open. No appointment necessary as the aptly dubbed "Father of Title Insurance" was eager to share his wisdom. Wow, what a ride is right! Great obituary. Great life..
I was one of those young lawyers who used to confer with Ernie when I encountered a tough legal real estate issue. He always knew the answer. He was a good friend to me.
I also bought a lot of Lion's club pancake tickets over the years.
