Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Chew's passing. He was so kind, and I loved getting to know him during my years at BSC. While I never had him as a professor, I went on two interims with him and even talked him into serving as our sorority's faculty sponsor. I know he will be deeply missed by all those who loved him!

Dr. Chew´s Business Policy and Strategic Management with its case studies analysis was my favorite BSC class. Peace be with you, sir, and with your family.

I'm fortunate to have learned from both Dr. Chew and Mrs. Chew, first in Mrs. Chew's 2nd grade class at VH East Elementary and then as a business major at BSC. I served as Dr. Chew's BA 400 teaching assistant during my senior year (2010), and his mentorship and support meant the world to me. Wishing you all peace and comfort as you celebrate Dr. Chew's life, legacy and the impact he had on so many.

I was privileged to have had Dr. Chew as a professor throughout all 4 years at BSC. He was the very best. He always inspired and challenged his students to work hard and think outside of the box. I cannot imagine my college experience without him and I know many others that would say the same. I´m so sorry for your loss. Sending prayers and love to your family.

My condolences to the family. Dr. Chew taught me at BSC in a leadership class in 2002. He was so kind, knowledgeable, and patient with us headstrong teenagers. He has left a lasting legacy through us.

I feel privileged to have taken several classes from Dr. Chew in the early 1980s. While I had many excellent professors throughout college and business school, he shines in my memory as the best teacher and finest example of all. I learned so much in his classes, and so lasting was his influence on my thinking, several concepts he taught later served as the basis of family catch phrases! He was a legend at BSC, and for good reason. He and his classes are my favorite memories of The...

Byron was such a inspiration to all. Always had a kind word. Taken too soon He will be deeply missed . Shine bright my friend.

Dr. Chew was the best professor at Birmingham-Southern College. I had the pleasure of taking many classes from Dr. Chew including an Interim trip to Disney World in January 1989. He will be greatly missed by all of his students. Mrs. Chew, We hope you have forgiven us for the little prank we played on the way home from Disney World. We still laugh about that to this day.
