Peace and love to a wonderful friend



It will be 3 years that Ernest left his family and friends. He was an accomplished, soft spoken, nice and kind colleague and friend ... a sparkling diamond. I join his family in remembering him and hope that they will recall many beautiful memories about their husband, father and grandfather. With many greetings.

My deepest condolences to the Corea family. I got to know Ernest later in his life in the early 2000s when I was a young college grad and I invited him to address a discussion group a few friends and I had started in D.C. Despite our age difference I found we had much in common in the small world that is Sri Lanka and that our families were connected through my grandfather and his father. It was with much sadness we received the news of Ernest's passing after a prolonged illness.My relationship with Ernest goes back to the time of my teenage years. Ernest was like a brother to me and we met frequently, more so because our parents were closely related, and there was also the influence of St Lukes Church of which Ernest's father, Rev Ivan Corea was the Vicar.
