Not sure what to say?

Hi Dad. Just saw Paul's words here again. "I miss my Dad!" from March 2020. Paul died on August 30, 2021. I miss you Dad and Paul. None of us can really understand how all this works, but (knowing God) I'll bet you guys have had a reunion by now. Praise God! Phil~

On the anniversary of my Dad's passing, I was at least able to share a wonderful afternoon with my "2nd Mom"...a beautiful lady who graces the neighborhoods of Lake Burien. (I still truly need elderly guidance!)
What comes to mind right now, thinking of my Dad Ernie, are his descriptions of horse-'n-buggy rides to visit their neighbors...'back in the day'. Even though I was never a farmer, or a cowboy, maybe it was my father having a place deep down inside me that made me my own version...

Whelp, we still miss grandpa Ernie and grandma Ruby, nothing has changed there. As I continue to grow and parent my own kids I use them as models for calm and God driven wisdom in my weak parenting moments. Grandpa was so gentle and kind, if he slightly raised his voice, usually backing up grandma on controlling our energy level or quarreling, you knew you better listen up! His predictability showed us when he meant business. He only had to say a few simple words and we listened. Then it was...

I miss my Dad!
