Ernest O. DiSaia

DiSAIA, ERNEST O., 85, passed away Saturday September 10, 2016 at Kent Regency, Warwick. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Ernesto O. and Helen E. (DiMuccio) DiSaia. He was the husband of Eva E. (Luciano) DiSaia for 60 years. Mr. DiSaia was a mechanical engineer and was the owner of ICM, Inc. (International Construction Management Corporation). He was Chairman of the Board at Notre Dame Hospital. He served in the US Navy and was a Korean War Veteran. Mr. DiSaia was the founder of the Rhode Island Italian American Sports Hall of Fame and a lifetime member of P.A.P.A. (Portuguese American Police Association) Besides his wife he is survived by three children; Eugene E. DiSaia and wife Christine of Lynn, MA, Ernest M. DiSaia and wife Lisa of Coventry and Elaina Kowalski and husband Donald of Warwick, and grandchildren; Alexander Kowalski, Gregory Kowalski, John DiSaia, Rocco and Bella DiSaia, step-grandchildren Ryan and Heidi Hollis and four step- great-grandchildren, Orion, Brody, Kameron and River. He was the brother of Helen Major of Cranston . His funeral service and VISITATION is Wednesday from 10 a.m. - 12 with a funeral service at 12 noon in "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
