Hoot and Liz were like my second set of parents. I spent many summers on the farm with them in Perry KS. We used to get up at the crack of dawn bring in the cows to milk then gather eggs from the hen house eat breakfest feed the cows then hit the hay feilds all day. We would come back for supper and then go to church for vaction bible school. About 9pm we would get home and hit they hay to do it all over again the next day. Hoot and Lizzy were such good friends for years. My uncle, Dailen Elliott was close friends to Hoot and his brother, Leonard. My mother was Lavon
Mongold, Dailen's sister and I was raised by my grandparents, Irva and Earl Elliott and we used to visit Hoot
and Lizzy often when I was young.
