Not sure what to say?

Lovell Dyett, You are remembered today and had a profound impact on my life while attending Bridgewater State College. I so enjoyed being your assistant. You touched the lives of so many others. A wonderful soul. Prayers to your family on this day as I am sure they are remembering you with love.

I know this comes a bit late, and I apologize for that. While attending Bridgewater State College, I was Mr. Dyett's assistant. It was both an honor and he taught me about excellence, striving, reaching. All these years later I remember him fondly and hope to someday achieve his standard of excellence. I am deeply sorry for your loss. He was truly a wonderful man and an example of living life with integrity and love.

Lovell was brave and provocative, brilliant, most of all Lovell was compassionate. I will miss his deep calm voice sorting it all out in the night. His work was always compelling. We loved you, Lovell, indeed. We loved you madly.

I miss not hearing MLK's speech broadcast on the radio on Lovell's show. If Mr. Dyett were still on the radio, he would have played that recording on Saturday night.

A friend I miss dearly

We will miss you Lovell.
