So sad to hear of Leftys passing. My first life experience with Lefty was in 1969. as an 8 year old and being drafted by him on the TWLL Yankees. 5 years of playing under his leadership was so much more than learning baseball. His compassion and kindness to myself and so many other youths left a lifelong footprint. I loved running into him throughout the years and have conversations of the old days. I had the privilege to be appointed, the same day with Lefty, to the City of Tauntons...
