Ernest Lee "Ernie" Hammond Ph.D.

Like his sister Terry, Ernie was kind hearted, likeable, entertaining, bright, a good conversationalist, laughed often and could laugh at himself, an endearing trait. Though we lost touch years ago before Ernie and Di married, the memory is strong. Please accept my condolences to Di, Aunt Bet and family.

Diane, I am so sorry for your loss! You and Ernie had such great moments and I will always remember the love you shared at your wedding and the memories and photos of the two of you! I am sure Ernie is waving "Hi" from above. I hope you can find joy remembering those times, during this hard loss! Sending hugs and healing thoughts. My deepest sympathies go out to Di and Ernie's family. I had the pleasure of knowing Ernie for more than 25 years. He worked for me at Coastal Georgia Community College when I was his Department and Division Chair, and for College of Coastal Georgia when I was Dean. My heart is sad for my good friend, Di. She and Ernie managed to do so much as a couple in a short amount of time. May Ernie´s new journey be filled with light and peace, basketball and his zest for learning and teaching.
