Not sure what to say?

Served with Earnie in the 94th Engineer Batallion in Germany in the 60's. When Earnie was employed by the city of St Louis, had Earnie and spouse for dinner.

Served with Earnie as part of the 94th Engr Battalion in nellington Germany in the early 60's. Reunited with him while he was working in St louis. never met a finer person

I'll like to send my condolences to the entire Harrell family. I had the honor to meet MG Harrell many years ago, at the Headquarters U.S. Army Corps of Engineers located in DC. He was the first African American General I had ever met in person, at that time and this was in the 1990's. He smiled when I said that to him. I just heard of his passing today. I always kept that memory in my heart and mind. I've since met a few others, but that was really special to me. I will continue to...

It is with deepest sympathy that I read of the passing of Earnest. I served with Earnest in the 94th Engineer Batallion in Nellington, West Germany in the early 60's. He was a pleasure to be around and he will be sorely missed. My sympathy to you, Paola, and your children.

Lt. Jim Mais, CoB 94th Engineer Battalion

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
