Not sure what to say?

I never seem to miss you any less Grandpa. The grief isn't as acute but it's still pervasive at this time of year. We love you so very much always! Thank you for all the lessons you taught me, I'll always want to make you proud!

Carol and I want to express our deepest sympathies to Joan and the children. We knew Joan and Ernie back in the late '50s and early '60s during their time in Ottawa, Canada where they were key members of The Salvation Army Band and Songsters. Ernie was a fine gentleman and Christian musician with a rather sly, dry humour that often caught us unawares while Joan was was outgoing and full of fun. We have no doubts that the love of family and of their fellow-parishioners in their church will...

Our condolences to the Harvey family for the loss of Ernie. Our families have been friends for more than sixty years. We remember all the great times we shared growing up, enjoying the hospitality and love at the Harvey household. We will miss Uncle Ernie’s hearty laugh and expressive reactions to life around him. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

It was my pleasure to meet and know Ernie through his work at Little Rapids. Remember those Christmas bus trips to Shawano? He was a man with a huge loving, giving, kind heart. He certainly touched my heart. Prayers be with you Joan and family.

My brother John wrote a beautiful tribute to our dad. My dad was truly a gentle English gentleman. My dad was a compassionate soul and a hard worker. I personally will always remember his cuddles when I was a little girl and his hugs when I was older, patiently helping me with my math which I was frustratingly inept at, taking endless phone calls convincing me that I would be ok when I was I suffering bouts of anxiety, and listening to him laugh when something struck him as funny. So many...

My grandfather shared the love of science with me at a young age. I believe that he is the reason why I’m so fascinated with science and I am always so eager to learn more. My grandfather’s love for dogs spreads through my whole family. My grandfather is someone who would give the clothes off of his back if that meant that someone else would stay warm. My grandfather was a quiet and gentle man.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. We will be thinking of all the Harvey Family next weekend as they celebrate the life of such a kind and smart gentlemen. We have been blessed to have met and known him

My father was such a great role model. He taught me humility, servant leadership, how to love and build independence in children, the list is marvelous and long. I am sad that my dad is not with us anymore. But I must say I am happy and find great joy in celebrating his life. I am looking forward to hearing and learning your stories of Ernie. Please share!

Oh what a beautiful tribute to a beautiful man who will be so missed. What amazing contributions he made to his community including his beautiful children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren! My memories of Ernie are through the eyes only dear friend, Sue and her family. Stately, kind, intelligent, and caring to all he met. My heart breaks for all who loved him. He will carryon in your memories and acts of generosity.
