Emest Richard Hoenigmann



Emest Richard Hoenigmann died on March 05, 2009 at Fauquier Hospital, surrounded by all those who loved and cared for him. Born to Alois and Natalie Marie Yusek Honigmann in Kocevje, Yugoslavia, Ernest brought his wife and two young children to America in 1952, eventually settling in Manassas,Virginia. In 1955, Ernest became the owner and operator of Wilson Farms Meat Company and moved his family to Catlett in 1975. Affectionately known as "Chiefie", "Red", and "Papa", Ernest was loved for his charismatic personality and his vibrant and contagious zest for life.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, Ingeborg Spiske Hoenigmann; two sons. Ernest Alois Hoenigmann of Manassas and George Richard Hoenigmann of Catlett; two daughters, Maya Hoenigmann-Pollock and her husband Joe of Catlett, and Natalia Hoenigmann-Lion, and her husband Ken of Salisbury, Maryland; one grandson, Alexander Ernest Hoenigmann of Stockton, California; one sister, Erna Honigmann Schober of Rottenmann, Austria; three nephews, Horst Schober and his family of Vienna, Va., Joseph Schober of Zwei Brucken, Germany, and Alois Honigmann of Vienna, Austria; and two nieces, Ute Schober Weller of lnnsbruch, Austria, and Monika Honigmann Hryska of Vienna, Austria. He is also survived by two dear and devoted family friends, Pauline Kirk of Catlett, and Mary Martin of Warrenton.

A brief visitation will be held at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave, Warrenton, VA, on Friday, March 27,2009 from 7 PM until 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his name to the Fauquier Hospital ICU. "Papa" will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
