Not sure what to say?

09/24/2020 Ernie was quite the musician! He played a "mean" Bb clarinet and was also skilled on the Bb bass clarinet. Ernie anchored the second clarinet section and sometimes moved over to third part when they needed a little help. He really enjoyed his music, but most of all, Ernie was friendly and easy going with all of our members. As the conductor emeritus I can truly say the Flint Symphonic Wind Ensemble lost a valued member with Ernie's passing and we all miss him very much.

Barb and the Skip Irwin family,
Skip may be gone but he will never be forgotten. Recalling
all of the memorable family gatherings growing up in
Manchester, CT--the Morrison (Steve and Alan),
the Christiana (Linda, Patty, Karen), and the Irwin cousins.
As my departed friend, Fr. Mac, Irishman and Spiritan,
always eulogized...And until we meet again, May God
hold you in the palm of His hand.

Barb
I am so sorry for your loss of our dear cousin "Skip"
He was such a kind and generous man. Laughter was always such a part of what I remember. Our love to you and family.

Ernie was a great gentleman, musician, and friend. He will be missed by all of us in the Flint area. Rest in peace, Ernie, and show those celestial choirs how a heavenly saxophone sounds.

Ernie was a valued member of the Flint Symphonic Wind Ensemble (FSWE) where he played bass clarinet, saxophone and Bb clarinet. He had fun with his music but was very serious about coming to rehearsals and performing at concerts. Ernie will be sorely missed by the entire membership of the FSWE. Keep on playing Ernie in heaven's grandest band, (John Philip Sousa, Conductor).
