Not sure what to say?

Mr. James taught me photography at Johnson C Smith University. His valuable teachings and techniques are still with me today 50 years later. Happy Heavenly Anniversary.

This man opened my eyes to the world of Photography.

Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Ernestine James & Family. Mr. James was such a charismatic, intelligent and pleasant man. We will always remember his beautiful smile.

Paupa will greatly be missed. His smile and quirky sense of humor about everything. He would often say Are you behaving yourself? My reply I am trying to behave. Many times in making him laugh, I was considered a funny little fellow. Such an honor for me to become his best buddy. Love you and miss you dearly.

To The Family of Mr. Ernest James, Jr.
BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE.

I too was a student of Mr. James at Emmett Scott Hight School, in Rock Hill, SC. I graduated in 1967. I always thought of Mr. James as a very cool and collective teacher which walked with a swag, and his head sort of tilted to the side...Mr. James always spoke soft with a smile...until he had to clear his throat and speak a little louder to some students (I say that with a smile). A nice and outstanding teacher...

The passing of Mr. Ernest l. James, Jr. is a shocking and unexpected revolution! I was searching Charlotte's legacy.com for details of a family relative and saw this! Mr. James was an unforgettable positive personality during my matriculation at Johnson C. Smith (1966-1970). I still have fun memories with him and his wife Ernestine who I would love to communicate my condolences with directly. SO, Ernestine this is Florence (Tootsie) Simpkins, the wife of Joseph Bowers. We shared much love...

Mrs. James,

Ernest was a wonderful friend to my father, James Peeler. Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss.

Warm regards,
Latrelle Peeler McAllister,
Charlotte, NC

May God bless you, Family of Mr. James. He was one of my favorite teachers at Emmett Scott High in the 60s. In addition to regular classes he patiently taught students after school about photography. I would not have the joy of photography without him taking the time to teach us about how to make a simple camera and how to take great pictures in the after school Photography Club. Again, God Bless.

We extend our sincere condolences to the family of Mr. Ernest James Jr. The James Family were former neighbors on Broad St. in Concord for many years. May God provide the comfort needed.
