Not sure what to say?

Dear Maryann, Steve, Chad and Casey, We were sorry to hear of Ernie's passing. Our thoughts are with you as you manage your way through this period of grief. We had fun watching you boys grow up and prosper. We remember the Turkey bowls and the many rounds of golf we played. May you all remember the best of times with Ernie.

Ernie threw a touchdown pass in the rain against St Ed´s and won the game for Chanel. I was on the Ed´s team. Then I met him in the National Guard. He was intense for sure.

I had the privilege of meeting Ernie and his wife several times at their home, just a wonderful experience, both were very kind to me and helped me acquire some sports memorabilia.Ernie will be missed.

fond memories of Maryann and Ernie as St Joan parishioners as well as the many meals we cooked at St Patrick's hunger center

Ernie was the guest speaker at our sports banquet in spring of 1970at St. Mary in Bedford. He signed my basketball letter. I still have it. He came from a good family.

He spoke at the St. Mel communion breakfast in probably 1969 or 70. I was a little boy and was very impressed. First pro football player I ever met. Godspeed.

Our Deepest Condolences & Loving Thoughts & Prayers for Our Superstar Ernie, Our Dear Friend Marylou Foley & Dave Bender

He engineered a great Miami University win at Purdue and I was there. Rest in peace Ernie and Love and Honor.

Ernie will be missed by all Chanel Alumni. I always looked at him as one of the best athletes to ever wear a Chanel uniform. I can remember seeing him playing for Miami Of Ohio, and the Cleveland Browns. Fond memories. This world will miss him, but I'm sure he will be welcomed in our life hereafter
