I never knew of Ernie's passing until I discovered it on Facebook this year 2023. I met Ernie in Aiken SC probably 20 years ago when he was working through that area and he was looking for someone to hit tennis with. That led to a friendship and a tennis session every time he came through the area and some time to just sit and talk. He was someone who impressed you as a great person and I so enjoyed his visits that sometimes included my son hitting with him. I moved away in 2019 and...
