The Johnson Twins Ardis & Odis class of 63-65@ Booker T. Washington High School. Honor to have Dr.Lampkins as a music director & mentor.

Rest In Power Dr. Lampkins, you taught me well. I well continue to share your wisdom all of my days.

Man, Man, you have lived a wonderful long life and I will never forget the band director at Walnut hill high school....way back in the day. Rest in peace and enjoy your second life in heaven. "I know you are there playing music with the angels. "

That lampkins was the best of mankind , like my dad. I have let both of them leave me.

Mr.Lampkins was a great man. Sending my condolences from Plano,TX.

Dr. Lampkins was such a special man, and I was honored to know him for a brief time. Please know, Ms. Shirley, that you and he blessed my life.

My deepest condolences to the family of the man that opened so many doors for me, taught me many life lessons, and was there for me when I needed support and encouragement.
I am praying for God to do for you what only He can do, for He knows your needs and the desires of your hearts.

As a teacher, music instructor and fellow musician Mr. Lampkin was instrumental in my journey as a young man. His leadership and encouragement guided many of us in the community. Major (his father) was a longtime family friend of my grandfather, Aubrey Angel. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and may the Lord give you strength at this time.
