Not sure what to say?

I was probably 12 when I was visiting my grandfather in Maine that Christmas. He had a box of albums and let me pick one to take home. That year I picked Big Men Bold and Bad. I played it to death and years later replaced it with an EBay purchase. It has been one of my favorites almost 60 years. Thank you Ernie. Rest in Peace. Gary Smith Mendon,MA

Dear Ann, Laurie, Robby, and Toby, Ernie was a very influential part of my life. I took folk guitar lessons from him at your house (in southwest Los Angeles) in 1954, driven by my mom from Echo Park, or taking the bus. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Every once in while I feel the need to comment on a life well-lived ...this is one of those times. Never met the man or his family, but what a fabulous obituary...what a life of caring, sharing, & making many people happy. Glad God gave him 93 yrs...Rest in Heaven, Sing with the Angels.

A lovely and loving tribute to a very special man. Our condolences to your family.

What a life! And, reading this wonderful obituary, I better know what has inspired Ernie´s daughter-and my friend-Robbie Leiberman´s life of good work.

What a beautiful tribute for deeply compassionate, creative and well lived life. The world is better for Ernie having been with us. Much love to you each.

So sorry for your loss. What a treat when he sang for the Peace History Conference at SIU!
