Not sure what to say?

It was my pleasure knowing Ernie. He was always so sweet and kind to me. He was a very appreciative person. I loved being in his company. I'll never forget the sweet smiles he gave me. I loved him dearly and he will always have a place in my heart.

When I lived in Georgetown a few years ago, I knew Ernest through the literary community in the Myrtle Beach area. I loved hearing him read his work at the Blue Heron Poetry Series and remember well how inspiring he was, funny one moment and moving the next--and always bravely honest. I know of no one who was more respected. When Ernest Lion stood up to read, the room hushed and people listened. He was so talented and so very polite and kind--someone I will never, never forget.

Tom, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Ernie was a great person.
