Ernest G. Prince, Jr., age 58, of Golden Valley, died after a courageous battle from complication of Ataxia. Very active in the National Ataxia Foundation, Courage Center and Westwood Lutheran Church. Special thank you to the MN Veteran's Home staff who took such marvelous care of Ernie. Known for his great sense of humor and sparkle in his eye, he loved his family, friends and fishing. A veteran of the Vietnam war, he will be deeply missed by many. Preceded in death by mother, Veronica Murphy; and aunt, Irene Murphy. Survived by loving wife, Kathryn; daughters, Kristin & Cori (Luca); father, Ernest Prince Sr.; brothers, James (Barbara), Daniel (Debra); many beloved nieces & nephews. Memorial services Friday 11 AM, Westwood Lutheran Church, 9001 Cedar Lake Road S., St. Louis Park. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to National Ataxia Foundation, Westwood Lutheran Church or Courage Center. We were very sad to hear of Ernie's death. I remember him well as one of the kindest and funniest men I've ever met. We have missed you all as neighbors and wish you all the best at this sad time.

I worked with Ernie for 5 Years here at NAF he was a devoted volunteer when I started and he was such an inspiration. I will miss Ernie very much his laugh, his smile, the great personality that he had. He always seemed to make me laugh no matter what. We all have some great memories that will live on forever.
