Not sure what to say?

I remember Uncle Jack as a sports watcher on t.v. We would visit him with the kids and they remember the candy dish as well. It wasn't just one piece you could take but two or three and he always made sure that there was enough for each of them. He adored my Lisa, he said she reminded him of someone he knew a long time ago. I also used to take Aunt Gerry to visit him when she needed to get into Saginaw. Please accept my most sincere condolences to the family. You all are part of my extended family even though I did not know Uncle Jack very well.
God Bless you all. You have been in my thoughts and prayers through this difficult time. Love you all Nancy

I know this is my second entry but I had to tell this about UJ. Back in April Elizabeth was in a recital and UJ came with Kaleann and Andrew and we sat him in the lobby before the show started and we had Elizabeth go out and see him. He looked at her and his eyes lit up and he had the biggest smile on his face. In these past almost 10 years that I have been part of this family I have never seen UJ smile so big. While UJ was in the hospital I asked him if he wanted some pudding or jello or something and the nurse brought him some applesauce. I was feeding UJ and he pointed to David and so I started giving David a spoon and then UJ. Then after they were done David climbed up next to UJ and gave him a hug and David said "I Love You Uncle Jack" and Uncle Jack gave him a real big hug back and said "I Love You Too David". The smile on Uncle Jacks face was wonderful to see.

One of my favorite memories of Uncle Jack was, of course, his candy dish. I loved the big family dinners we had....and his stories of the old days. I know he's happier now, but will be missed deeply.
