Remember playing basketball against him, he said his belly button would eat me. Very funny and a great pleasure to have known him

Mr. Ruth was a great friend to my parents, and was always there to give me good advice. He told me when I joined the Navy, "Just remember, everything in moderation." My heartfelt condolences to his wife, Joseph, Annemarie, and Chris.

Mr. Ruth was an important part of my "growing up" years. Always there to support, laugh or cry with all of us. Knowing wonderful memories will comfort you in times to come. Thinking of all of you.

Ernie was a dear family friend while I was growing up in Junior High and High School. He was a very positive influence during those formative years. Always fun to be around, he knew how to have a good time. I have many fond memories that I remember often. Thanks for helping to show us the way.

My most sincerest and heartfelt condolences to Joani and all family members. Ernie was a dear friend, and I will miss him for many reasons. My happiest times with Ernie and Joani were around the dinner table or out on the deck of their warm and loving home. God bless you, Ernie. Love, Sandy
