Not sure what to say?

Ernie was such a great guy & good friend during our IU days (was in classes w/ my husband. Al DeCabooter) and later w/ sage professional advise over the years. The irony is that I’m just seeing this in August 2020. I lost my husband (Arthur/Al DeCabooter) only months (10/9/2019) after Ernie. I imagine they’ve been catching up on lots since then. My condolences to Sandra.

Ernie Rydell was one of the finest people I have ever known. I knew him when I was a student, in his various roles at TSC, as a colleague, a golf partner, and most important as a friend. We worked together at Rowan University where he built a viable alumni association within the Advancement Division and help me fundraise. My thoughts and prayers are with Sandy and his family. My God Bless Ernie forever!

I'll be forever grateful to Ernie for encouraging me, and then "peddling" my resume, to Trenton State College (now The College of New Jersey), which led to my appointment as the College's first full-time sports information director. So many friendships and wonderful experiences followed. His uncanny memory contained more useful TCNJ/TSC sports highlights and personality profiles than any file (electronic or otherwise) could ever document. Thank you, Ernie, for this, and so much more....
