Farewell and fair winds, my long ago friend. You were my buddy at Sacred Heart and taught me to ride a motorcycle. We used to ride around on your red Honda CL70, and though taking a passenger slowed that little bike down, you always welcomed me aboard. Ernie, I remember your return back from CA when I ran into you at Chef Bernies. You still carried the bouncy laughter along with the kind heart. Thank you for your friendship, I will keep the family in my prayers

I remember running around Chef Bernie's with all the cousins during the holidays. Ernie wasn't too old or too cool to check in with the younger cousins. If I close my eyes, I can hear him chuckle as he tousled my hair. Peace be with you. Prayers and love for Uncle Bernie and my cousins.
