Mr. Smoot was an abiding light for all who knew him. Reading his obit the phrase "abundant life" comes to mind. I hope I can follow his example. Mary Pier, retired HSSU instructor.

Condolences to the Smoot Family. Mr. Smoot was the most gracious man. He was a beacon of light for all that encountered him. Janis, there will be difficult days ahead, but know you are never alone, you have the Lord and the light from Ernest to carry you through. Blessings to the Smoot clan.

Ernest was such a kind and loving-hearted man. He had such an infectious smile you just couldn't resist smiling back. I always told Ernest and his adorable wife Janis they are my favorite couple and they always will be. I love Janis and Ernest. He will be greatly missed.
