Not sure what to say?

I went to high school at Bay Hi with Ernest Spiva. And have thought of him from time to time over the years. He was always a friendly person and a joy to be around. Glad to know he had a happy fulfilled life.

I am sending my 10th year condolence to my special Family. Each of you know how I loved Spiva and he loved me. There was never another one like him. He was excellent in all his teaching years. He had time for his students and would give such good advance. Spiva family, I miss him for that with me. U knew we thought of each other as family God Be with Each this day and everyday. Please share with Martha my health has just kept going down from my severe Covid 19 in Jan 2020 and died. God said I...

Offering our sincere condolences at this time. Col. Spiva and I served together at Ft. Bragg, NC during the 1980's. He was a great, bright , and wonderful leader. May God be with the family.

He was my civics teacher at Mowat Jr High ,he was also my lieutenant in the Army Reserves. His dad was a friend of my dad I wil remember him as a great man who made a difference in this world .

Mr. Spiva ... I'm sorry I never called to tell you that you were an important person in my life. You called me out of class in '92 and '93 just to talk in your office about how I was doing. When I told the officer before first period that I had locked my keys in my car, there you were, after 1st period, trying to jimmy the door of my '89 Dodge Shadow open with a "slim jim". You knew or looked up where I was parked. When I (finally) made the JV baseball team, you found me to congratulate...

I was fortunate enough to be there for Mr Spiva's last two years at Rutherford. I will never forget that gold suit he always wore for open house. I remember all the under class man being upset that he was retiring & he wouldn't be there for our graduations. But he made us a promise he would come to ours too & you know what he did. It takes a special person to care that much about their students. Thank you for the memories Mr. Spiva & Go Rams!

RIP Mr Spiva. My prayers are with your family at this time. You were a great man, concerned about the youth of the area. Ram Pride '76
