Dear Irene
I was so sorry to learn of Ernie's passing. Unfortunately I was away and unable to offer my condolences personally to you, your children and Jim. He was a very good man who touched the lives of others in many ways. I know that he has struggled over the past few years-he did not deserve his afflictions. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
Sincerely, Jack Lyle
