I just learned of Ernie's passing. I am so sorry to hear of Ernie's illness. He and his sister Mary are cousins that I really never got to know. I was "older" and only saw them when their parents came to Ithaca, NY for the "annual" visits. I wish we could have all been closer and kept in touch. Peace be with you Mary and also to Ernie's partner Judith Sojack.

I worked with Ernie for 3 years. He had a brilliant mind and a wonderful aptitude for science. I always liked our engaging discussions. I did not know his struggles with cancer. I will always remember him fondly.
