I knew Ernie as an arbitrator. I represent labor unions. I will always remember his self deprecating manner especially when he was telling a joke. My most vivid recollection was that he was one of the nicest gentleman I have ever met. I am lucky that I knew him

Although I do not know his family, I am moved by the story of the life of Ernest Weiss. He showed by his actions how good can triumph over evil, and how it is possible to lead a happy life of service and love for others, in spite of adversity and loss. May this good man rest in peace.

I feel so lucky to have called this wonderful man my father-in-law. His love and devotion to his family was second to none. Though his tragic beginnings left him with deep wounds to his soul, Ernie lived a full, positive, and prosperous life. He spread smiles and joy wherever he went, and enjoyed nothing more than to be in conversation with other interesting people. Rest in peace, dear father-in-law. We miss you terribly.
