I still relive all the great times we had and still regret all the times we missed. So for those of you who let time, work or distance affect your friendship, do something about before you can't.

I was thinking about Lee this moring & looked him up. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. I was a kid living next door to the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity house in the late '60's. Lee left an incredible impression on me. He & the Brothers taught me all kinds of things & helped me when things at home were bad. He was kind & a real mentor. I wish I'd known him as an adult. You were all very lucky to have him in your lives. My deepest condolences.

While at CSU I had a red Olds 442 with a Hurst 4 speed. When I drove, I began to notice that the local police always seemed to be watching me, and sometimes even followed me. Lee was always anxious to borrowed my car. I later learned that Lee did not always drive my car in the conservative manner in which he drove his Volkswagen Beetle.
Lee still remains the closest friend I ever had or will ever have.

I'll never forget the time Lee and I went hiking up to Horsetooth in Colorado. By the time we set up camp it had started to snow and my shoes were wet. Lee set them around the camp fire to dry The next morning I found my shoes burnt to a crisp. I won't tell you what our conversation was like hiking down and through the foothills. I will always remember Lee as a brother because that is what he was always like to me.

Although Lee was my best friend, I just learned of his passing today, December 18, 2020. Lee and I were 2 of the 3 Florida residents who entered Colorado State University in 1964. We became roommates, joined Phi Delta Theta fraternity, and were in ROTC together. After I transferred to Embry Riddle, I would stay with Lee, go boating with he and his dad and enjoyed the best scrambled eggs cooked by his mother. Lee became a lawyer first and I followed some years later. I suppose because of...

Please be comforted by knowing what a difference Lee made in others' lives. I remember his kindness and generosity in reading my daughter's college essays when we were neighbors in Frenchman's Landing. She has continued to play that forward by reading essays of many Harvard applicants.

I'm so sorry to hear about Lee. I fondly remember our days of legal discussions at DCA, and the pleasant surprise to find you both in south Florida when I came down to SFWMD for Susan in 1998. My sincere condolences.
