Not sure what to say?

I'm so Very Sorry for the loss of "Grandma Tina" I just found this today, FEB 1st 2021! She was a Godsend to my Son, Jack Clarence Burdette, He lost his fight to melanoma on Nov. 21st 2019 after his bout with bilateral retinoblastoma as an 18 month old toddler! I was so inspired by her Son whom had become a Lawyer!!! Prayers to Your Families!!! My condolences!!! God Bless All of Her Family!!!

I think of grandma Tina often. When Larry is inpatient at Mott and I run to the gift shop to get chocolate to get through the day her picture is right there. It's nice to see her smiling face. On my phone after all these years I still have a voicemail from her saved. That voicemail message is from July of 2010. In the message she asks how we're doing, ask how Larry is doing and my whole family by name. She is an amazing woman and we miss her. I'll never delete that message. She ends it with...

I had the pleasure and honor to meet Ernestina in the three years (19881991) that I spent in Ann Arbor as the wife of a mathematician at the University of Michigan,Ann Arbor. It made a difference to regularly meet with her and with the many other wives that she had gathered together at the International Meeting Group. She knew how much I loved doing quilting and about my origins from Florence so that is perhaps one of the reasons that, out of friendship, she entrusted me with this...

1995

I will always be grateful to have met this truly remarkable woman. I met Ernestina in 1992 when my husband and I came to Ann Arbor from Russia. She became a warm and caring grandmother to both of us during tough years of transition to our new life. We owe her so much. She was such an inspiration for us with her big heart and endless energy! A framed picture of her still brings a smile to my face every time I look at it.
My husband and I extend our deepest sympathy to Grandma Tina's...

Bless her heart, what a wonderful, wonderful woman she was!

I LOVED her so much. So glad I´d met her. Will never forget her. My sympathy to the family, specially Amy and Elizabeth.

Ernestina was like a mother and grandmother to my family. She welcomed my parents when they came to study at the University of Michigan in the 1970s, and then us, their children, when we came to the United States later. Four decades after she met my parents, she made an unforgettable impression with her smile and kind words at my wedding. Ernestina brought so much happiness to so many people, and I am thankful that I had the opportunity to express my family's gratitude for her many years of...
