Ernie Lucas

He was my dad my uncle and my friend. I wish i had the comfort of putting my head on his
'Big Belly" and him telling me something to make it all better.

I did not know Mr. Lucas, but I was at Cornell on Friday when he was taken to the hospital. I was at the match with Lee Wolfe, who had known Ernie for 50 years. I learned a few things about him, and about his passion for PSU wrestling, and I have visited his photo galleries since he passed. He was a fine photographer whose love for the sport came through very clearly in his work. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Ernie was our brother and brother-in-law. His sense of humor, love for family, love to adopt all children into his family, love of wrestling, travel, and work will never be forgotten. My nice memory of Ernie is his sly, friendly smile. When you say his name, the smile will be remembered.

Ernie was a great man. He is someone that I just met about 4 years ago through Steve Sorensen at Penn State wrestling matches. I will miss him and his smile and his great pictures....
