I had the priveledge to serve under Commander Moore in the 002 Dist. during the mid "70"s . As a Viet-Nam veteran I felt at ease under his command. He left a great impression on me and I am sure many others. Rest in Peace Commander, your mission is accomplished.

I had the priviledge of working for Capt. Erskine Moore in the 6th District. Besides my dad Police Officer Carl Willis, he was one of the few real men I have ever known and admired whether they worked for CPD or not. He was not only smart but he was fair to all. I knew your husband and father in the 1970's from the 006 District (Gresham)and he was everything the Sun-Times obituary said: a courageous, intelligent, warm gentleman who had the respect of the CPD officers.
