Not sure what to say?

Dr. Elber treated my family in Monroe for many years. We just heard about his passing. He was greatly missed in our area after he moved to Gallup. Our prayers are with you and your family.

I knew Erwin both as a friend and from work. He was a funny and unique individual who enjoyed gathering with friends. We hiked Mt. LeConte together. RIP my friend.

I knew Dr Elber from the hospital and he often treated my children. They loved him. He was the only physician who ever called to apologize to me. He thought he had been sharp with me. He had not. A wonderful physician and kind man!

So sorry to hear about Dr.Elber

All things I may say about Dr. Elber are good. A wonderful biking buddy funny to the end with the humous adage, "If you can't be first, and you can't be fastest, as least you can be last."At any time in his presence one knew an interesting, intellectual conversation would ensue . Many people including me will miss him for a long time. RIP, My Friend.

Through several years of riding bicycles with Erwin in the Monroe, NC area, I succeeded in breaking two of his bikes! He didn´t give me a hard time about this, perhaps because it gave him the opportunity to repair them. Erwin was generous to a fault, and my life was enriched by knowing him. I actually thought about him a week or two ago while I was out riding my e-bike and wondered what was going on with him. I´ll continue to miss him.

I have known Erwin as a friend and medical colleague. He took care of my three children and was a great surgeon and an asset our medical community. I too have a love for bikes and rode many miles together including two trips to Moab . He will be missed by everyone that knew him. Rest in peace.

I am sad to hear of Dr Elbers passing. He was a Colleague and a Friend. He was a great credit to our medical community in Monroe , NC. I was honored to know him and his family. My deepest condolences to all . Respectfully Sandra Abda (King) MD
