Dear Krause Family: I am sorry to hear about the passing away of Mr. Krause Sr. We had many conversations over the years about wildlife conservation, habitat management, and land management. We (DEEP Wildlife Division Habitat Biologists) appreciated his caring for the land and wildlife occurring on his land in Winsted. The Officers and members of The Hartford Liederkranz are very saddened to hear of the passing of Hans. He was a cornerstone of our club having seen it go through its many changes. Even though he hadn't been able to participate in the past few years he was always remembered at our Clubs Anniversary celebration as our longest living member. Our deepest condolences to his family.

I have been thinking of my friend John a lot lately. I always enjoyed watching and skiing with him as he flew down the slopes at ski Sundown .
