Read MoreI have fond memories of Erwin Pesek. My grandma, Mary Becvar (nee Pesek)would take my Becvar cousins and me to the coliseum to see him in bicycle races. We always enjoyed them. We also would visit with Erwin when he came to visit Grandma. My sympathy

I met Erwin 2 or 3 times in my life; once when we purchased a Schwinn bike and picked it up from him at the plant in 1967, other times just in passing while with my father. My father always spoke glowingly about Erwin's accomplishments and introduced him as "my cousin Erwin the 6 day bike rider". My dad, Tom Cerkez the drugist on 26th St., passed away in 2006. May your memories help to ease the pain of your loss.
