Not sure what to say?

It's been 4 years, but I still can't completely cope with losing one of my best friends. She and I were best friends through high school, and even after she left to go to governor school, we kept in contact. I think about her often and I wonder how much different things would be if she was still here. I miss her, and I'll often go back through our messages from each other. I like to think I've healed from this, but to this day, I still get teary eyed when I think about her and how much I miss...

Our family is keeping Esme's memory in our hearts. We continue to think of her and miss her deeply. This new anniversary bring us sad memories, yet it also makes us realize that we were privileged to get to know such a wonderful person.

Mary Ann, Euan and Iris, may the Lord fill your hearts with his tender love and sustain you with his grace today and always.

Such a horrible tragedy for the lovely young lady to pass. We knew her but for a brief weekend in the Tennessee Smokey Mountains but became very fond at first glance. Her warm personality and sharp intelligent mind will remain with us always. Deepest condolences to all that loved Esme.

I am devastated to learn of Esme's death. My heart goes out to the Kemp family as you grieve.

We were absolutely heartbroken to learn that Esme's life had been tragically cut short. She was so young and immensely talented, and had boundless potential. Those of us whose lives were touched, in just a few short years, by her wonderful sense of humor, her brilliant mind, and her unwavering acts of kindness will miss her laughter. We will always keep fond memories of car-pooling to Hartsville and making room for her extra-large stuffed animal-friend that she brought along for the ride. ...

My sympathy goes out to Esme's mother, brother, and sister. I knew Esme and her family through Merrywood Elementary School where she was once a bright-eyed, curious, caring, and very capable student. It was always a pleasure to greet her and be welcomed by her bright, sweet smile. May her family find comfort in fond memories. Sincerely, Donna Thompson, Retired Merrywood School Counselor

We met Esme though our son Oscar. From the start, we got the impression that she was very special and we grew quite fond of her. She was gentle, well-mannered and always pleasant. Our hearts and prayers go out to everyone who misses her as deeply as we do. May her family and friends find comfort and strength as we walk through this difficult time.

We met Esme through our son, Edward. She was his camp counselor at the GoSciTech summer program and they remained friends. When we would visit out daughter in Clemson, Esme would join us for lunch or a walk. She was brilliant, witty, warm hearted and handy with a crochet hook. Our hearts go out to our her family. She will be missed in ours.
