Our beautiful daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend returned home to the arms of her Savior on Saturday, October 15, 2011. Essa was born on September 4, 1996, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Loye Dean and Danelle Sherie Dutson Ricker. She loved family and spending time with them. She was the second of three children; she has an older sister, M'Leah and little brother, Conner. Essa was an absolute joy to everyone around her. "Essa Messa" was a free spirit who had her own style. Her trademark was her beautiful smile, mismatched socks and her bright colored shoes. Essa loved to take pictures and draw. She enjoyed gymnastics and was often outside jumping on the trampoline. She was a student at Diamond Fork Jr. High School and loved all of her friends there. A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Essa enjoyed Seminary and was always willing to help whenever and wherever needed. She is a sweet and loving spirit and leaves a lasting impression. She will be forever loved, missed and always remembered. She is survived by her parents, Dean and Danelle Ricker; sister, M'Leah Danelle Ricker and brother, Conner Dean Scott Ricker, all of Covered Bridge; grandma, Sherie Hudson, N. Las Vegas, NV; grandma, Norma Ellen Ricker, Leeds, UT; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins who love her dearly. She was preceded in death by both grandfathers, Joseph Russell Dutson, and Robert Morton Ricker; uncle, Preston O. M. Dutson; and her dog, Sophie Jo. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Canyon View Stake Center Chapel, 976 South 2550 East, Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends may call on the family on Wednesday evening, October 19, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 187 S. Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah or on Thursday morning at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Donations may be made in Essa's name at any Zion's Bank Branch.

Not sure what to say?

I got an email notification that another year has past, but I know her memory has not. I did not know her or her family, but she was a precious fellow human being that went on to Heaven too soon.

I was just reminded of this precious, beautiful young woman and the terrible tragedy she was involved in. My heart goes out to her family for the profound void that they will never fill, but they must know that Essa lives on in a different realm, as do precious and beautiful Kelsea and Savannah I don't just believe that, or have faith in that, I know it.

I´ll never forget the time we jammed out to Crazy Train together!

My sister Allissia Rome Or wetsch was one of Essas many loving friends we all miss her so much I think of her every day I remember her yellow nail polish and her beautiful smile I miss her so much and I hope she knows that
