Condolences to her family

Mrs. Chandler was my freshman art teacher at Nimitz Jr High. She was also the sponsor for the Academic Decathlon. She was a wonderful art teacher and guided the decathlon team to a 2nd place finish.

Two of my favorite memories: Stopping by to visit and share her wonderful meals anytime we were in Odessa and the time I was competing in an art competition in high school. I walked into the judging room and there was Aunt Essie! We both laughed and I walked back out since a family member couldn't judge my artwork.

My mother, Margaret Breland Gilmore, and Essie were roommates when they were young teachers in Odessa. Mom always spoke very highly of Essie, and they maintained their friendship for many years. Mom went to be with the Lord on May 27, 2021, so no doubt they have had a happy reunion in heaven.

Such a loving person. I am thankful to have been blessed to have known this wonderful woman for many years.I will always remember our visits and conversations. Fly high sweet lady. Love you so muchUntil we meet again

She was a wonderful friend, and a perfect individual. I will miss "Ms. C" . I truly loved her.

So sorry for your loss. Sending love hugs and prayers.
