Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Witmer was a wonderful person who loved and wanted the best for all kids. My condolences.

Scott,
My husband and I both knew and loved Essie. I taught with her, my husband went on two outdoor education trips, and we worked MayFairs with her many times. Plus, she taught both of our children. She was a great person, and we are sorry for your loss.

Mrs. Witmer along with Mary Ann McHale were the two teachers from Hoover who made the biggest impression on me in elementary school. I struggled in 4th grade because of my dyslexia, Mrs. Witmer always and I mean always took the extra time with me to make sure I understood what was happening in the classroom. The most important thing I learned from Mrs. Witmer was how to be a leader. She was an amazing teacher.

I remember Mrs. Witmer as always smiling. As the new kid in the middle of fifth grade, I appreciated that smiling face each day. I will keep your family in my prayers at this difficult time.

Mrs. Winter was one of the few teachers that left a lasting impression on me. She was one in a million.

Mrs. Witmer was one of my favorite elementary school teachers. I was so sad to see that she passed. Please know that she made such a positive impact on so many students lives. I am so thankful that I was able to be in her class. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve.

Scott, I know you don't know me but your mother was all three of my children's teacher! She was a great teacher and I know my kids thought so too! I am do glad she was there to take over the Outdoor Education Trips for Mrs. McHale! She did such a great job and because of both of them this great program is still going strong today! I rembember her talking about you when you were on school playing soccer! A proud mom! Your mother was a great person and i know you and your family will miss her! ...

Mrs. Witmer was a wonderful teacher and mentor and I'm so glad I was privileged to have the opportunity to be in her class. Her footprint on Camp Hill will be everlasting. She will be sorely missed. Prayers and love goes out to her family.
