Taylorsville, Utah-Estella Ilene Foote, our beloved mother and grandmother, was called home by her Heavenly Father on January 3, 2014. She was born May 6, 1938 to Orlas James Riggs and Estella Smith in Hatch, Utah. She married and was sealed for eternity to her beloved husband Leslie Eugene Foote on July 2, 1960 in the St. George LDS Temple. They spent their married life in Taylorsville, Utah where they raised three sons. Ilene was a talented quilter and she loved to crochet. She loved going to her cabin and spending time with her husband, sons, and grandchildren. She was a wonderful homemaker and cook, and she participated in the scouting organization for many years and helped many boys become Eagle Scouts. She was a joy to be around and always knew how to make everyone laugh. Ilene was preceded in death by her husband Leslie, her parents Orlas and Estella, and her brothers John and Ralph. She is survived by her sons Richard (Cynthia), Michael (Yvette), and Boyd (Rebecca) as well as her eight grandchildren Samantha, Stephanie, Addison, Christopher, Trent, Jesse, Sarah, and Rachel. She is also survived by her brothers Jerry, Earl, and Duard. A viewing will be held in her honor on Sunday, Jan. 5th from 6-8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial, 6500 S Redwood Rd. Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bennion 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, 6100 S Kamas Dr., Taylorsville, Utah. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services.
