Estelle R. Cassidy

Estelle was an amazing woman who taught everyone she came in contact with the joy of living every day to its fullest. My mother (married to Estelle's cousin Dan Rice) passed away when I was a teenager, and Estelle stepped right in to provide her love and support throughout all of these years. She was a great story teller, and she will live on in the stories all of us will share about her in the years to come.

Our family is one of many blessed with the gift of knowing this great lady.
"Teacher" was really the teacher in the one room school house where my mother and uncle attended school. My mother discovered that her teacher needed a place to stay and brought her home.

The happy days at the cottage are long gone but our memories of them are not. Stelle lived life to the fullest and brought her zest and spirit to all who knew her.

What a privelege it has been to know this grand lady, a friend from the moment we met until her passing. Memories of her will never be erased.

Stellie was one of those people who's warmth and enthusiasm for life was contagious, you couldn't not smile when she was around. My life is richer for having known her, and heaven will be a happier (and more musical place) with her there!

We called her Stellie and she was the most fun person. She told of her first day on the job as music teacher in Needham, MA. She sat down at the piano and played the songs from Showboat by ear to the amazement of all--teachers and students. That was where she met my cousin Badge Jessup and the friendship began that lasted all these years.
