Heartfelt sympathy to the entire family. Esther so graciously befriended my mother last year when she moved to All Saints. Initially, Esther wrote a sweet card to welcome my mother. Then she would wait at the dining room table so Orella wouldn't have to eat alone. Esther's care and thoughtfulness were apparent to all who were graced to know her. May she be welcomed into Heaven with the words "Well done, good and faithful servant".

Esther and I were in the same Stephen Ministry Class. I enjoyed our sharing times and her gracious personality.

Herb and Esther taught many important skills that I use to this day. It is sad to hear of her passing.

So sorry to hear about your loss. God cares so deeply about us that he has gone to great lengths to make the fulfillment of his purpose a certainty. (John 3:16). One of his promises is no more death. Another of his promises is that those in his memory will be brought back to life. May these facts bring you some comfort.

Bowden boys and families: Sorry to hear about Esther. Loved Esther and Herb, getting to know them both fairly well during our tenure at OSL. Both were always supportive, encouraging, eager to help and make things work, and spoke the truth! Esther is the only person who has ever handed me a check for $500,000, made out to Our Savior's, of course! And when I visited in the hospitals, the patient would often say, "Some very nice lady (or Esther Bowden, if they knew her) from Our Savior's...
