There are many wonderful memories of different times in our lives. Then life takes hold off us and takes us in different directions. I did not know my cousin, Esther, in her adult life, but my memories of her as a child was that she was a sweet, quiet, loving, beautiful little girl who loved to play with us older girls. I feel such an emptiness that I can´t describe. Esther was the youngest of a family of 10 children. So beautiful and so trusting. right from the beginning she would give her all into the friendship/relationship. To know her was to love her. I was with Esther that awful night when she was told she had Stage 4 lung cancer we couldn´t believe what we heard Esther even asked the Dr, if she had the right patient, sadly enough the Dr. told her yes. Ester leaves a hole in my heart. We met in Jr High and have reconnected several times throughout the years. I especially miss our monthly lunches together with Robyn. During one of those lunches I learned she had non- smoker lung cancer. As hard as that was she still managed to give us that beautiful smile and infectious laugh. Rest In Peace my friend.
