Read MoreWe are sorry to hear of the passing of Esther Guerin, who was the first female PhD recipient (1972) in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Wyoming, where I am a professor. Her doctoral advisor, Bob Buschman, was a colleague of mine until he retired to Oregon. I understand that Esther was well loved and respected in the Laramie community.
