Not sure what to say?

I think of Dr. Hill often as she was an influential professor at UNCC, specializing in art education. I loved her grace, her pleasing personality and I held her in high respect. I graduated in 1978 with the Bachelor of Creative Arts for art and art education. I am happy to see she lived 93 years and had grandchildren.

She was a sweet spirit. Always had a kind word to say and was very stylish. I will always smile when I think of her. May God bless the family.

Dr. Hill,
was the one to teach me how to paint and make a line when I was 7 years old and used her art to show that any ony can do it. We will miss her smile and telling us what to do and how to do it. Rest in Peace.

My thoughts are with the family. Esther made tremendous contributions to art education! I knew Esther through UNCC as a student 29 years ago. She was inspirational and energetic. I appreciated her "can do" attitude. Thank you Esther :)

I will really miss you Dr. Hill. You were a great inspiration to my life as well as my family. Rest in Peace

Ester Hill was an outstanding advocate for COMC and a wonderful person to work with at the NAEA conferences. She was very special and will be missed.Rest in peace.

Esther was a professional artist-educator with class. She served as an elder-mentor for many of us when multicultural/diversity was brought to the forefront of education. I love you and will greatly miss that twinkle in your eyes when you smiled or laughed. Thank you for always being there.

We just learned that Esther passed away and are very saddened by the news. Esther was a wonderful friend and colleague and will be missed by all. We had the pleasure of attending her 90th birthday celebration and will always remember her dancing and laughing!! May her memory be eternal! Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
