Not sure what to say?

THERE ARE SO MANY GREAT MEMORIES OF ESTHER AND HER FAMILY. WHETHER IT WAS A READING FROM THE FAMILY ALTAR ON A SLEEP-OVER, OR A TRIP TO THE SOUTH AND NEW YORK, OR THE GOOD TIMES AT THE COTTAGE, VISITING WITH GRANDPA AND GRANDMA MARQUARDT IN HORICON, AND DECORATING THE CHURCH INTERIOR AT CHRISTMAS. THEN THERE WAS ESTHER'S MISSION WORK. SHE WOULD SEE TO IT THAT THOSE WHO HAD LITERALLY NOTHING WERE LOOKED AFTER. AND IN THESE LAST YEARS I LOOKED TO HER AS MY "OTHER MOTHER." NOW SHE HAS GONE TO...

My family moved to 26th and Vliet in 1948. The Jungs were one of the first families we met in the new neighborhood. I remember playing monopoly for days when the days were soooo hot in summer. Esther and Erv permitted us to us the AC in the parlor if there ws no other "guest." I loved their birds -my mother said she was "allergic" to birds - also dogs, so we SMRZ kids never had any but esther let us think that we had adopted their feathered friends. I though Esther was prettier than...

My father worked for her parents on their farm in Horicon. In recent years I was able to visit with her and her sister and really enjoyed hearing about my father when he was a young man. I loved her dearly--she was just a great lady. Her faith in Jesus as her savior brightly lit up her conversations. She is with him now and enjoying a pain free existance. Her family was blessed to have her so long. She will be missed but my hope is that I will meet her again in our heavenly home.

I always remember her as "Auntie Esther" as she was related in some way to the Zuehlsdorf family. But my best remberance of her is when I was a Cub Scout and she was my Den Mother. Recently she gave me a picture (which I cherish) of 5 of us Cub Scouts dressed in Indian garb. She made the best chocolate chip cookies and let us run around the funeral home on Vliet Street. We also got to watch the Schuster's Christmas Parade from the funeral home balcony. When it comes to sweet, loving people,...

To Esthers Family:
I got to know Esther thru the Salon she went to for her hair. What a great Lady , with a great sense of humor. We always had a good time , all of us , at the Salon when she was there. Also it was a pleasure to meet her sister, Kay who brought her to the Salon...another great Gal. She will be missed greatly . Know all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Take care and keep all those special times close to your heart and she will never be far away.
