Mrs. Karczewski is remembered fondly by me, as she lived next door when I was a child. In fact, she gave me my first job, hiring me at 50 cents a week to take Alex to and from school. We all went to the same church, shared the same weather and otherwise considered the Karczewski family friends we could count on.
